Privacy policy
Effective August 14, 2026
bridge.games is a free site for playing contract bridge, run independently. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and — mostly — what we don’t do. Questions: hello@bridge.games.
What we collect
- Your account: an email address, a username, and a password (stored hashed — we cannot read it).
- Your profile, if you fill it in: real name, country, bio, photo, bidding style, and convention cards. Profiles and convention cards are visible to other players by design — that’s how opponents read your system, as at any club.
- Your play: every board you play is recorded — calls, cards, results — so hands can be replayed, scored against the field, and reviewed. A table’s log also records seating changes, undos, and claims.
- Your connections: friends, follows, and blocks you set up.
- Technical basics: ordinary server logs (such as IP addresses) and, when table video misbehaves, connection diagnostics that help us fix it.
What we never do
- No advertising, and no advertising trackers.
- No analytics beacons following you around the web.
- No selling, renting, or sharing your data with anyone.
- No payment details — the site is free, so we never ask.
Video and voice
Table video and voice travel directly between the players at your table, encrypted, peer to peer. When a network requires it, the encrypted stream may pass through our relay server — still unreadable to us. Nothing is ever recorded or stored, and we couldn’t watch if we wanted to.
Cookies and storage
This website sets no cookies at all. The app stores one thing in your browser: a sign-in token, so you stay logged in. That’s it.
What other players see
Your username, profile, presence at tables, and results are part of playing bridge with other people — anyone at your table or in the lobby can see them, and boards are scored against everyone who played the same cards. Your unplayed cards are never sent to anyone, including our bots.
Where your data lives, and your rights
Data is stored on our servers in the United States. Email hello@bridge.games to ask for a copy of your data or to delete your account. One honest caveat: results already scored into a board’s field stay in the scoring history (removing them would change other players’ scores), but we’ll disconnect them from your identity.
Age
bridge.games is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. We won’t quietly start doing any of the things listed under “what we never do.”
